Michelin Guide NY, GB&I and France 2006 - Restaurant Entry Comparisons
The Michelin Guide to New York City 2006 departs from the traditional Michelin style of
inclusions.  The emphasis is on an informal written description that seamlessly includes
the specialities along with an opinion of the style, decor, location and atmosphere of the
restaurant. The entry below is taken from the 2006 Guide for La Massiera in Manhatton Mid
town West; the Guide itself is organised by district.
The Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland 2006 has the familiar 'spec' meaning
specialities of the kitchen.  There are the more evident 'symbols' of the classic Guide. The
blue diamond indicates a description of the setting - an innovation in the last few years.  
The Guide is organised by town alphabetically with separate sections for London, England,
Scotland, Wales and Ireland..
The Michelin Guide to France 2006 leads Europe with the new standard format that we see
in the UK above.  The Guide is organised by town with a separate section for Paris
